The project involved Shanxi black granite cladding in a “goal post”configuration on this flagship building on the corner of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. The ridged profile was achieved through mechanically fixing 80mm granite ribs to a 40mm backing stone, with
the ribs being attached in the UK. The extreme size and weight of the granite pieces presented a challenge for installation.
