Szerelmey is an award-winning construction company that specialises in New Build facades, internals and hard landscaping, and in offering a complete Restoration and Refurbishment service. We have a large in-house Design team based in Vauxhall, where we can also build mock-ups and facilitate material testing. Our dedicated teams represent a wealth of experience and have a real passion for what they do, whether delivering new build projects or restoring heritage properties.

CPD 1: Typical cleaning techniques, Restoration & Conservation of Natural Stone
Learn about the importance of detailed surveys on stone buildings and why you should do sample cleaning areas to ensure the correct cleaning and restoration methods are employed. The CPD covers all traditional cleaning and restoration techniques using case studies to highlight potential problems and the ways to overcome or avoid these situations.
CPD 2: Typical Cleaning Techniques & Restoration of Terracotta, Faience & Brickwork
This CPD looks at all the traditional methods for cleaning and restoring terracotta, faience and brickwork. The importance of detailed surveys and cleaning samples is covered and case studies used to illustrate potential problems and how to avoid or overcome them.
CPD 3: The Use of Terracotta & Faience in Modern Buildings
Understand about the possibilities and limitations of using terracotta and faience in modern buildings, learn about the different production methods, glazing and glazes, fixing, installing, technical details and the sustainable benefits of the material.
CPD 4: The Design of Natural Stone, Non Loadbearing Cladding and the Failure of Cladding, “Cause and Effect”
Learn about the design of stonework, good practice, Building Regulations and the influence of Eurocodes. Case studies are used to illustrate good design and to avoid or overcome potential problems.
CPD 5: The Use of Natural Stone in Interiors
This CPD is designed to increase knowledge and understanding of the many different uses and applications of natural stone in building interiors. This includes guidance on stone selection, design detailing, installation methods and British Standards and guidelines.

Understand the many different uses and applications of natural stone in hard landscaping and furniture, including guidance on stone selection, design, detailing, installation methods and British Standards and guidelines.
