We feel privileged to work on the buildings we do and hope to impact people’s lives positively through either the restoration, refurbishment and remodelling of existing buildings, or our new build work with natural materials. Restoring the buildings we already have and being able to repurpose them for 21st century use, preserving history, reducing carbon and creating “good” spaces for people, is really important to us.

Equally, when building from new, there is no more sustainable material than stone to build with. It has a longevity that is proven through the hundreds of thousands of historic stone structures still in use around the world today.

We know our industry still has a long way to go and much work to do in order to significantly reduce the impact building has on the environment, whilst also enriching people’s lives. We are striving to be an appreciable part of driving change to that end and within our role as a subcontractor.

Sustainability is at the heart of our Restoration Team, whose expertise delivers the cleaning, repair, restoration and transformation of existing properties. facade retention, cut and carve, remodelling and repurposing of existing structures allows older buildings to be adapted for modern use.

Szerelmey specialises in the use of natural materials particularly stone, terracotta, and faience. We encourage our clients to choose materials with the lowest carbon footprint possible and from a transparent and ethical supply chain.

We are committed to ensuring the health, mental health, safety and wellbeing of all our people, those around us and the environment we work in. The health, safety and wellbeing of our people is at the heart of everything we do. We are members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School and use their invaluable training resources for all our staff.

Although we build and restore buildings, we are really all about People, those that work for us, those we work for, our communities and everyone around us who experiences our buildings.
