The scope of works on this project involved both restoration and new build works to this substantial Grade II listed building designed by architect WE Caroe for the Church Commissioners. The substantial facade was retained by others and high level dismantling done by others. This allowed for the building behind to be removed and a new structure to be built. Szerelmey re-instated the previously removed stonework at high level, carrying out extensive restoration to damaged stone and making alterations to facilitate the new building structure. Further works included building 13 new chimneys using existing stone where possible and associated leadwork, the complete restoration of both timber and metal windows throughout the building and the cleaning and restoration of all elevations.
