Szerelmey were responsible for all the interior stonework and exterior hard landscaping around the building. We developed a bespoke raised flooring system incorporating travertine stone panels assembled off site and rapidly adhered to the backing system in place on site, reducing time and site disruption. The flooring system involved 420 sq metres of travertine stone, and despite being raised and supported on pedestals, BRE tests established that it can sustain a 30KN point load. In addition the Company installed a lightweight, suspended travertine stone ceiling. Szerelmey developed the use of a composite panel comprising thinly sliced travertine adhered to a reinforced aluminium honeycomb backing. By using this backing system the stone thickness was reduced to 8mm resulting in a lightweight 25mm thick stone ceiling panel able to be suspended from a standard British Gypsum hanging system. The internal ceiling system was also developed to be used in the soffit arrangement where a further 420 sq metres of matching travertine stone was used.
Szerelmey supplied and installed feature art work to stone paving and hard landscaping externally.
