Szerelmey were contracted to deliver an internal flooring project that involves stone paving to three different buildings. The flooring packages include: York stone (Crossland Hill) and Burlington Slate in the Brook Street building. In addition there is some Burlington slate skirting and wall cladding at Brook Street. The second building on New Bond Street involves Crossland Hill Yorkstone paving to an Internal Entrance Lobby, plus Paving to the level 6 Lobby. The third building, the oversite development (OSD) which spans Crossrail will have Pietra Serena stone flooring laid in large panels (2 m x 2m) which are inlaid with Brass features. Technical challenges with this project revolved around the size of the floor slabs which made them more difficult to fabricate and install due to their size and weight. The site team used a robotic lifting device to aid with this.
