Freemasons Hall

The Freemasons Hall building is a fine example of Art Deco architecture designed between 1927-33. The building was suffering from Regent Street Disease – corrosion of the underlying steel structure causing damage to the stonework. Szerelmey Restoration were contracted as a Principal Contractor for this fantastic package of works that involved cleaning and restoring the stonework to the main tower of this iconic grade II listed property. This is the first of several phases which will form part of the biggest cathodic protection scheme ever undertaken. We also managed the installation of Cathodic Protection, incorporating concrete repairs to the tower. Other works involved asphalt repairs to the highlevel roofs and repairs and decoration of the crittall windows.
