Szerelmey undertook extensive works at Tate Britain including staircase and flooring packages. The grand staircase was installed in a new opening to the floor of the main entrance rotunda. It consists of an elegant, curved steel form with a stainless steel and glass balustrade, and twenty five steps. The top of the stairs are marked with a decorative precast agglomerate balustrade with a contemporary fleur de lis detail. This agglomerate balustrade was particularly complicated to install and was done so in four large sections, each 4.5 m long. The stairs are also agglomerate with marble chips and black agglomerate nosings. Szerelmey also installed a second curved staircase.

Both were complicated to install and fix given the size of the precast pieces and their low tolerance. We also installed 2000 sqm of patterned agglomerate flooring, extending through the lower levels of the museum. In addition Szerelmey installed 500 sqm of agglomerate skirting, dados and reveals. The restoration team cleaned and repaired large areas of terrazzo flooring on the principal and upper levels and the marble mosaic flooring in the entrance hall.
