Szerelmey completed Chelsea Barracks Phase I in February 2019 and have now moved onto Phase IV. This substantial project will see delivery of three separate residential buildings arranged around a private courtyard at the centre of the Chelsea Barracks development. Each building is six storeys with a two storey penthouse set back at the upper levels, and clad in Moleanos, Portuguese limestone. Standout features of this complex project are double height load bearing columns on building 7 that support the balconies above and a carved stone frieze.
The soffits on this building are 3m x 2m x 400 and weight 5.8 tonnes each. The project as a whole encompasses the use of very large pieces of stone, with building 6 and 8 featuring stone lintels that are over 3m in length.
