62 Buckingham Gate forms a key part of the ongoing redevelopment of Victoria and is an impressive, extensively glazed addition to the junction of Victoria and Buckingham Gate. Szerelmey undertook all the sourcing and installation of the stonework in the grand reception area, lettering, imposing reception desk, lift lobbies, floors and walling. The interiors were designed by Debra Lehman-Smith of the American-based design practice LSM and no attention to detail was spared, this included the dry laying of every single piece of stone in Italy before being shipped.
The Company installed fine Gris Inma limestone flooring throughout the ground floor reception area and lift lobby floors, and silver travertine panels to the walls; the panels were end matched for continuity of pattern. Silver travertine extends across the imposing reception desk, which also features large metal lettering fixed by Szerelmey. The lift lobby walls on all floors feature Classic Roman travertine which was also installed in the bathroom facilities (levels 1-11) as vanity unit counter tops and mirror surrounds.
