Women in Natural Stone Group
In November 2021, the Women in Natural Stone group officially launched at The Landscape Show in Birmingham. Claire Wallbridge of the NSITG, chair of WINS group, invited some of Szerelmey’s ladies to join her at the launch to show support.
WINS has been established to help provide support and networking for women in the natural stone sector and to help guide those deciding on their career paths.
The response to the launch and the WINS stands at the Landscape Show was incredible, and in the space of a few days, the membership of the group more than doubled to over 50. Meetings for the group are held monthly via zoom currently, but they hope to organise a meet up this year.
Currently, from Szerelmey we have 5 ladies involved with the group, Tamsin Pickeral, Abigail Lewis, Gauri Yennawar, Judit Birinyi, and Iulia Moldovan. Each person brings a different experience and outlook within the construction industry which can be highly useful within the group.
The event has been mentioned in the December issue of the Stone Specialist magazine and on the stone specialist website.
