Our latest “ladies night” was a resounding success and saw a great turnout of ladies from the industry. We always try and do something a little bit different, and this time around we went for an Italian evening of fine wine, anti-pasti and fantastic singers in the cosy setting of Italian restaurant Sicily, 2a Elizabeth Street, Victoria.

Our guests were brilliant fun, as always, and I think it is fair to say that we all consider ourselves friends as well as colleagues now, many of us having worked together in the industry for a number of years. These evenings are a great opportunity to get together and also to make new connections. We are already thinking about our next event and what to do. If any ladies out there have an inspired idea (that doesn’t cost the earth), then let us know in the office!

Finally, we would like to give a massive shout out to the amazing singers who really did us proud: Tonino Pappano Riccio, an Artistic Director of large scale classical and varied music events, experienced conductor and virtuoso pianist who arranged all of the musical performances for our Ladies event. Zoe Turner, a highly talented and acclaimed Soprano, with a wealth of opera experience. She is also a qualified voice teacher and has recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, as the teacher of one of the finalists. She will soon appear on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Domenico Colonna a naturally talented Tenor sensation, from Bari, Italy, who performs regularly before live audiences. And last but certainly not least, Dr James Dooley by day, he is one of the country’s leading surgeons, but is also a classically trained singer, as well as theatrical performer, who gives the occasional concert and appears at events for very special occasions only.
