Szerelmey shortlisted for Construction Excellence Awards 2024
We are proud to share that two of our projects have been shortlisted for the NFB Construction Awards of Excellence 2024 that recognises exceptional performance and unwavering commitment to excellence within the construction industry.
St Johns College Cloisters project has been shortlisted for in the Remarkable Heritage and Conservation Project category. This category showcases successful projects that have transformed and preserved existing structures while adhering to historical accuracy and sustainable practices. Szerelmey worked alongside Beard Construction and Wright and Wright Architects to carry out extensive repair, restoration and replacement work to the Grade I listed Laudian Library extension in the St John’s College, Canterbury Quadrangle, Oxford.
Marylebone Square project has been shortlisted in the Innovation in Construction Technology category. This category showcases projects that leverage cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions, improving productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality standards. Marylebone Square is a massive faience project, cladding four facades of a building measuring 100 x 33 m and involving around 10,000 faience units. A really interesting aspect of the project that uses post tensioning of faience elements in a way that has not been done before in the UK, and for this reason I believe this project constitutes innovation in construction technology!
