Szerelmey restorers on the lime course at Chalk Down Lime
We recently sent some of our restorers down to Chalk Down Lime at the Sussex lime yard to attend a one-day practical training course in the understanding and use of Traditional Lime Mortars for the repair and conservation of new and historic masonry and lime pointing.
The course was run by Jamie Wallace (BSc Hons) and his team from Saxum Stonemasons.
Szerelmey Restoration will continue to offer this training to our restorers throughout the year. We believe in training our employees from the specialists so they can learn from the very best in the trade, and through this, we hope to help preserve traditional building skills and craft skills that are quickly disappearing.
