Heritage lottery funding has enabled the extensive restoration and new building work to the Black Cultural Archives (BCA), based around the badly-damaged and derelict grade II listed Raleigh Hall in Brixton. This important project, which Szerelmey were an integral part of, has provided the first permanent home for an archive covering centuries of black history in Britain.
Szerelmey supplied and installed British Ancaster stone cladding quarried in Lincolnshire to the external facades using 75mm thick pieces. The stone pieces were restrained back to a concrete backing structure and included cills and copings.
