Acting as Principal Contractor, Szerelmey Restoration undertook extensive repair, restoration and refurbishment work to this prestigious property on Jermyn and Bury Street. The roofing works included large areas of replacement slates, lead work, structural roof works to the underlying supports and lantern light replacements. Szerelmey cleaned and restored the two facades of the building to Jermyn Street and Bury Street. The Portland stone facades, with associated brick stacks, were carefully cleaned using a combination of nebulous, doff and joss (calcite) systems, with in situ repairs also made. All previously painted surfaces on both facades were also redecorated. In addition, we carried out extensive rebuilding, repair and restoration to the metal fire escapes.
