Peter McColm steps up at Szerelmey

After 40 years in the industry and several decades at the helm of Szerelmey, Darren Moore has stepped down as Managing Director and Peter McColm has taken on the leading role. Peter has more than 30 years industry experience and has been Contracts Director for Szerelmey since 2012, overseeing the delivery of some of the company’s largest ever projects. Peter started his career in civil engineering and his background in engineering and design is a tremendous asset to the company. One of Szerelmey’s key attributes is the Design Department and the ability to solve complex design problems. Peter’s influence and expertise has seen this department grow and flourish, enabling the delivery of large scale and complex internal and external projects.

Although stepping down as managing director, Szerelmey is fortunate to be keeping Darren as a Director, and he will remain on the Board. Darren’s industry experience is invaluable and he has guided the company steadily through down turns in the market as well as the more buoyant years. Darren began his career as a quantity surveyor based in the south-east before joining Szerelmey in 1984, first as a Contracts Manager, then Contracts Director before being made Managing Director in 2010.
