One Evening, Award Two!
We were thrilled to see 7-8 St James’s Square win a Commended at last Friday’s Civic Trust Awards, 2017, the second of our buildings to be recognised. 7-8 St James’s Square has also recently won two sections at the Natural Stone Awards. This building was designed by Eric Parry Architects and is a sustainable office building that sets new benchmarks for a speculative office in the historic City of Westminster.
Szerelmey undertook the external stone cladding comprising Impala black granite and granite window surrounds, cabeca veada limestone window surrounds, horizontal limestone banding and copings and cladding from floors 2-5. On the south elevation we installed 7 columns of purple flamed and brushed Porfido granite to the ground floor level and stainless steel columns to the west elevation. We also installed a sculpture by artist Stephen Cox to the corner of Duke of York Street and Apple Tree Yard.
