Finished Project – Wilkins Terrace
Szerelmey has a number of projects completing at the moment. It is always exciting to see the finished building, which may not happen for years after the very first meeting our teams might go to in the early stages of the architect’s design. It is a double pleasure when the building is in British stone like our recently finished works at the UCL campus in Bloomsbury.
The complex project involved the creation of a new courtyard above an existing service yard and bringing together several different buildings, including the Grade I listed Wilkins Building to form a cohesive area. All the work involved the use of Portland stone and included load bearing Portland columns, extensive Portland paving, steps, seats, planters and cladding.
