Work Experience Students at Szerelmey head office
Szerelmey welcomed two students from the West London Free School to spend a week in July at our head office doing work experience. They came to us as a part of the Hammersmith and Fulham Cluster careers programme. The students worked with Marketing, Estimating and Design teams, learning aspects of the business and how the stone industry works. We carefully crafted the experience in a way that helped the students learn about office environments and how to that can work in a creative yet structured way. The students were taken through our stone materials library and given a tour of the mock-ups in our yard to give them an understanding of how the practical application of the materials work.
We are very thankful to everyone at Szerelmey who helped and made them feel welcome. The students gave fantastic feedback and said they were pleased with the experience and learnt a lot. We are always looking at offering work experience opportunities to students from around London so they are able to learn and experience the practical aspects of how a construction company works.
